I am really really impressed by the attendance of the waiters, the ambience and the food is exceptional.
Even the waitress remembered that I was wheat sensitive and told her colleagues the second time I was there.

Excellent menu and wine list. They’ve taken German regional cooking and made it into fine cuisine. Vibe was great - music, lighting, design. Would be great with friends or a date. Really friendly service. 100% recommend.
A great restaurant. I was disappointed when I came in for lunch because they only serve steak on the dinner menu. Other than that the food was good. I highly recommend the white tomato soup, It was flavor packed and delicious. The panfried fish was also very good. Our waitress was excellent and overall I had a good experience.
The food was simply amazing, very tasteful and well presented. The wine was also tasty, I would have expected more options thought. What could dramatically improved was service, the staff were not friendly and attentive. They seemed just running from here and there and it was pretty hard to have their attention. I’d go back there again and I hope the service will be improved.
We visited this lovely restaurant on 16th July to celebrate my husband’s 60th Birthday and our last night in beautiful Hamburg, we were unsure of the North German/Austrian/Swiss inspired dishes, but I’m so glad we did!! the service was attentive, knowledgable, helpful and very welcoming and friendly. The food…was sublime! The complimentary bread and cheese butter was gorgeous, and the white tomato soup was hands down the BEST soup I’ve ever tasted! It’s was beautiful, inspired and surprising in the best possible way. The pork done two ways and braised peach dessert was fabulous. The recommended wine was delicious! If we ever visit Hamburg again, we’d definitely return. If you’re visiting Hamburg, we highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

Very nice and friendly accompanied by fantastic food and a great atmosphere. There were 6 of us, came in very late without a booking expecting to be turned away but the staff were super friendly and let's have a table. We all went for the pork which was phenomenal.
The restaurant has a modern approach to food presentation, with stunning plating that is truly eye-catching. However, when it comes to taste, it's a matter of personal preference. It's not a place I would recommend to anyone. You'll end up spending a lot of money just for a pretty picture, but it's important to remember that food should not only be visually appealing but also delicious.
The Haddock Fillet did not make a significant impression on me, unfortunately. However, the service at Heimat Restaurant is good and unobtrusive.
Overall, while the plating and presentation at Heimat Restaurant are impressive, the food itself may not live up to expectations. It's not a place I would recommend unless you're specifically looking for visually appealing dishes.
